(Tuesday, April 21, 2015) Crimestoppers GNO via Alpha Graphics will be at the corner of Monroe and Green at approximately 2:00 p.m. and work out in a 1/2 mile radius pattern representing 2,843 inhabited homes to drop door hangers which will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
The second door hanger will be circulated at the Franklin Avenue location after the Green/Monroe Street area has been completed. This location representing a 1/2 radius (2500 homes) will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
Crimestoppers announced this program at our march 26th annual awards luncheon to assist law enforcement in the development of leads in homicide cases where no suspects have been identified or information is needed after a minimum of 48 hours has past. it is our hope that with the additional coverage and the protected crimestoppers process defined on the door hangers, that new information will be developed for law enforcement. the cases selected have been submitted and approved by law enforcement.
Any film crew who would like to take photos may contact crimestoppers (504) 837-8477 for information on the delivery crew's location. delivery crew members wear neon vests and hold a khaki bag. the crew consists of between 6 - 8 walkers.
