On May 1, 2023, Nicko Baggett was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, which occurred on the 3600 block of Lausat Street, according to the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office. Authorities received a call reporting gunfire in the area about 10:30 p.m. Deputies found Baggett inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
