On December 16, 2022 at about 5:44 p.m., NOPD responded to a call of aggravated battery by shooting at Old Gentilly and Providence. A vehicular accident involving three cars was observed. Further investigation found a 20 year old male driver of a late model KIA Sportage was suffering from gunshot wounds. Malik Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene.
