On June 10, 2014 at approximately 2:48 am a two alarm fire was reported at 2308 Harvard Ave. in Metairie. Investigators determined that the fire which began in a stairwell outside the apartment, had been intentionally set and the victims were unable to escape. When the blaze was extinguished Mr. Evans and two other severely burned bodies were found in apartment 6.
