On February 29, 2024 at 8:25 p.m, while walking his bike between Alvar and Abundance St., Chris Williams Sr. was involved in a fatal hit-and-run. He was a pedestrian who was struck and pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle may have been a Kia with a missing headlight after the incident.
