Deputy St. Pierre is a member of the St. John Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. 

Under the specific qualifications cited in our qualifications, please provide example(s) of what has this officer/deputy done that merits their nomination?

Deputy St. Pierre merits this nomination because of his bravery and quick response after hearing multiple gunshots at a gas station near a public event on Aug. 28, 2025.

Deputy St. Pierre was on patrol when he heard the gunshots and, without hesitation, pulled over and exited his police vehicle. Alone and without any other officer immediately around, Deputy St. Pierre stopped a dangerous situation as it was unfolding.

When Deputy St. Pierre saw someone fire a gun multiple times towards the opposite side of the building, he quickly took command of the situation.

 Deputy St. Pierre was able to order four suspects out of a vehicle and hold them face down until backup arrived. His actions resulted in the recovery of a handgun, one AR-style rifle, and the arrest of multiple suspects.

This incident occurred less than a quarter mile from a public event and could have led to the violence escalating had it not been for the brave actions of Deputy St. Pierre.

Is there a specific event which stands out that expresses how this officer/deputy has gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist?

The events of Aug. 28, 2025, in which Deputy St. Pierre prevented a gun battle from escalating.
