Deputy Andrade displayed exceptional judgment and leadership skills when he made the decision to transport the players mentioned below and allow the others to return on their way home. He coordinated with local law enforcement to ensure the emergency room was ready to treat the players.

Is there a specific event which stands out that expresses how this officer/deputy has gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist?

While escorting buses carrying student-athletes returning from a high school football game, a medical emergency involving two players occurred. They were still about 2 ½ hours from home, and their symptoms were concerning. Deputy Andrade contacted a local deputy to find the nearest hospital and transported the two players and the coach to the hospital in his marked unit. The other escorting deputies and buses continued their journey home.

Deputy Andrade’s judgment and professionalism directly contributed to a positive outcome; both players were treated and discharged a few hours later.
