Covington Police Seeking Information Regarding Juvenile Attacked by Unknown Perpetrators

Chief Tim Lentz announces that on Friday, May 23, 2014 at approximately 3:10 PM, the Covington Police Department received a complaint in reference to a juvenile being punched from behind. The juvenile was on his way home from the library at approximately 1:30 PM, and was near the intersection of W 27th Ave & N Pierce St. He was approached from behind by two black males, one of which struck him in the face, breaking his jaw. The black males were described as being around junior high school age with military style haircuts. One was wearing a maroon shirt and khaki shorts with a black backpack, the other wearing a white shirt and maroon shorts. There was no communication between the victim and the perpetrators, nor does the victim know their identity.

This appears to be an isolated incident and the Covington Police Department Investigations Division is actively working the case.
