"A Night of Blue" will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins in New Orleans. The event will start with a VIP Patron Pre-Party from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm followed by general admittance from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Local entertainment will include Rockin' Dopsie, James Andrews, the Bucktown All-Stars, Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes, Charmaine Neville, Kermit Ruffins and more local acts to come. The event will include delectable cuisine from local restaurants and caterers, an open bar and silent auction. It will be a fun filled evening for all. What is GiveNOLA Day? Hosted on Tuesday, May 2nd by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give generously to the nonprofit organizations that make our region a stronger and more thriving community for all. It’s our day to come together as one! Every dollar donated from midnight to midnight on May 2nd will be increased with additional “lagniappe” dollars provided by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and our generous GiveNOLA Day sponsors. Last year, $4 million dollars was raised from 28,000+ donors around the nation. How can I participate? Everybody can participate on GiveNOLA Day! Individuals can make online donations to Crimestoppers GNO here. The minimum donation is $10.  Share our GiveNOLA link with your family and friends Donate to Crimestoppers GNO on May 2nd for GiveNOLA Day:https://givenola.org/npo/crime-stoppers-gno.  On line donations are being accepted effective April 25, 2017. To schedule a donation, a donor needs to create an account at GiveNOLA.org. The donation will be processed on May 2, 2017 at which time the donor will receive an email receipt. Crimestoppers tips have aided investigations in recent high profile cases such as: the June Bourbon Street shooting which injured 9 and killed one female o the August Burgundy Street shooting where two people were killed and five others wounded, including two children the August hit and run of a mother by an illegal four wheel ATV driver on Claiborne Avenue to date, our October Operation "Clean Sweep" Fugitive Round Up has captured over 45 wanted subjects In addition, in over 14,800 other crimes, Crimestoppers tips have helped find justice for families thereby saving law enforcement coveted investigative time and dollars.
